Completely Passed Out

February 6, 2010 · 5 Comments

evening everyone!

Thank you all for your birthday wishes!  You’re all too kind!

I have a lot to fill you in on! I completely passed out this afternoon after lunch and ended up sleeping until almost 5pm! Needless to say I was a little behind when I woke up!

Despite that though I still managed to go for a 45-minute walk, do 40 minutes of yoga, do laundry, go out to birthday dinner #2 and go grocery shopping!

How’s that for making the second half of my day productive!?

So now, to catch you up!

Lunch was delicious – I toasted two slices of multigrain bread that I loaded up with santa fe turkey, low sodium turkey breast, lettuce and spicy mustard.

I wasn’t joking about it being loaded!

It was delicious.

On the side I tried my hand at another red pear. I’ve been having THE WORST luck with these guys – they’re always rotten every time I open them up!

But luck was on my side today and the pear was perfectly ripe and juicy!

It was a wonderful lunch -almost as good as breakfast this morning

The real star of the day however was my birthday dinner #2 that Mike took me out to. (I’m totally spoiled, I know)

We headed over to a new place in Hoboken that we’ve been dying to try – Clinton Social

The meal was absolutely fabulous! I started with a glass of white wine sangria (my newest obsession, can ya tell??)

Then moved on to a mixed green salad that had perhaps THE BEST dressing I’ve ever had!

Followed that up with the pork chop milanese

And last but not least - DESSERT! Because let’s be honest, yesiwantcake

I ordered the apple crisp with cinnamon ice cream

And Mike ordered the brownie sundae

A perfect ending to a perfect night! Thanks for yet another amazing day Mike!

We’re curled up watching Harry Potter now, happy to be out of that freezing cold!

night all!

Cake is definitely necessary for your birthday weekend! As is sangria. I love the fruit in it.
