needed

Ahhhh.  A good long walk was exactly what I needed this afternoon.  I can’t wait to be in a walking city again – I really miss being able to walk everywhere!  I was so spoiled with that being in Boston and New York all my life!

I followed up my hour of walking with 20 quick minutes of much-needed yoga.

It seriously felt so good.

Afterward I showered, got into my christmas pajamas (obviously) and flipped through the newest J.Crew catalog (so many things I want…so little money with which to buy it!) while watching Fred Clause on ABC Family.

Not a bad afternoon if I do say so myself

Around 5pm I started to get hungry so I grabbed myself an apple to munch on.

For dinner I decided to keep with the Italian theme and made whole wheat pasta with Trader Joe’s veggie meatballs smothered in a slice of reduced fat mozzarella and sauce.

On the side I added another salad and the rest of our wheat loaf (plus olive oil for dipping of course!) from the other night.

Oh winter light…how I loathe you.

I remembered liking the Trader Joe’s veggie meatballs much more in the past…not sure if I just haven’t had them in a while and was expecting something different or if I just need to get used to them again…

And since I shared my latest song obsession with you last night, I’ll leave you with my newest blog obsession:

Wooooow this sounds like the perfect afternoon. I have a couple of essays that stand between me and Christmas break…can’t wait to get them done so I can relax, too!

And all of that food looks delicious!

Perfect winter meal! There’s something about Italian in the winter. It’s like a food hug. 🙂

I need to start doing yoga in the mornings just because it feels so good. You may have just sparked a new years resolution for myself.

Haha yay! I’m with you though – I don’t do it nearly as much as I should and I have no idea why because every time I do, it just feels so good.
