Long day, full day, fun day yesterday!
Started off with the breakfast of champions –
Then headed into Woodstock to explore!
This town is essentially Stars Hollow.
I was immediately in love.
We decided on a little place called Mountain Creamery for a little something to eat.
So cute and homey.
We decided to split a turkey sandwich –
And saved dessert for later.
German chocolate and peanut butter soft serve!
Consumed on the little beach by the river!
Then ended our day with a quick and easy dinner –
The baked mac and cheese came out the clear winner. Poor Chad had to fend me off from his plate just so he could get some.
We got home exhausted and just fell into bed in our little lighted house.
What a cute place! And that ice cream sounds to die for, I love soft serve!
Me too! Soooo good 🙂
What an adorable little place. I love the old town feel and all of the great authentic old-time eateries. So glad you are enjoying yourselves.
Thanks Lauren 🙂 And I completely agree, you can’t beat it!
I go to school in this area, so it is really awesome to see your adventures/good eats in a place I now call home! (BTW, my friend ALWAYS orders the mac & cheese at Molly’s – she loves it. Their bread and butter is amazing too. My favorite is the grilled vegetable salad!)
Oh yay! It’s such a great little area 🙂 And my boyfriend’s aunt is actually the “Ms. J” on the wings description on the appetizer menu!!
This place is too cute!
That ice cream looks amazing! German chocolate and peanut butter! YUM!
It really was so cute – and yeah! That flavor combo was INCREDIBLE!
You always seem to find the best places!
I’d be all over that baked mac ‘n’ cheese!
It was seriously incredible. And they even had a dish named after Chad’s aunt on the menu! 🙂
Ahaha, as I was looking through your pictures I thought…STARS HOLLOW!!…and then you went and said it too. Love you and your life! xoxo
Haha of COURSE you thought it too 🙂 Love you right back friend!
It looks like there is an angel on the porch of the little lighted house.
I agree! I think it’s going to bring good healing to the whole place 🙂
haha this is probably a really dumb question but is that where the Gilmore Girls show “took place?” I love New England little towns! they are just too cute for words!!
Haha not dumb at all – yes, that is where Gilmore Girls took place 🙂 And I agree with you – you can’t beat a good New England town!
soft serve, sight-seeing, hiking, AND salad+fries (a personal favorite combo of late)!? swoon. what a great little day. 🙂
Haha – it was most definitely my idea of a great day for sure 🙂 Can’t beat it!
