jumpsuit: sienna sky from marshalls – only $20! {similar here, here and here} // shoes: jcrew factory // earrings: old from target {similar here and here}
Something surprising I’ve found with pregnancy is that there’s not a ton of affordable fashion options. I don’t know how many of you know this, but back in my NYC days I worked at InStyle and absolutely loved it. I’ve always loved fashion (though by no means proclaim to be a fashion expert!), so you can imagine my disappointment when I found that all the cute pregnancy clothes I wanted were way more than I was willing to spend.
Please tell me I’m not alone in still wanting to wear cute clothes while pregnant but not wanting to spend the money on an entire maternity wardrobe that I know I won’t be wearing much longer after the baby comes! In general I’ve always prioritized my style preferences over specific brands/price points but I definitely try to keep to a budget (otherwise I could easily spend my entire paycheck on clothing!) and try to add clothes to my wardrobe that I absolutely love.
So, as someone who constantly searches for affordable maternity inspiration, I wanted to start sharing the good finds I come across!
This jumpsuit is so light and flowy which is the perfect thing now that the weather is consistently near the 90s! And it fits my second trimester bump perfectly despite being a non-maternity option (although I did buy a size up just to be safe…I figure I can get it altered post-pregnancy if need be).
It works well as a casual day outfit but is also totally work appropriate which is super nice. I can also comfortably sit down in it which becomes surprisingly important during pregnancy! Pluses all around for this $20 jumpsuit that I can add to my full-time wardrobe once baby comes! I’ve linked one similar in style, but not in price below – your best bet is probably to head to a local TJ Maxx or Marshall’s to see if you can find one. I was just there the other day and saw they still have some!
