High Five

When Chad got home we headed out for a walk with Clara:

We did a quick two miles in this gorgeous weather and when we got home Clara went right back to her same spot…only a little more tuckered out:

And with a Chad lap to lay on πŸ™‚

We contemplated dinner on our whole walk and for a while after getting home but nothing was really calling out to us. Β Finally we decided just to get in the car and see what grabbed us on the way.

And that’s how I ended up eating my very first Five Guys burger.

The decor was cute!

2012 05 21 20 09 34

The food was heavy.

I got a regular cheeseburger with pickles, onions, lettuce, ketchup and mustard then Chad and I split a regular order of cajun fries.

We both left saying that this would more than suffice as our yearly trip to Five Guys.

Off to watch a little Arrested Development then theΒ Bethenny!

Let me know how you feel later πŸ˜‰ I had five guys about 3 years ago and won’t go near it ever since — all that grease (plus the fries) just did not sit well with me. Oh and then after I ate them, I heard this little tidbit of info : http://www.nbcwashington.com/the-scene/food-drink/Five-Guys-Fries-Hate-Your-Arteries-78681172.html
Always important to indulge sometimes though! hehe

Haha I definitely did not feel good. I’ll be happy if that’s my one and only Five Guys experience in my life! And yeah! I noticed how many fries they gave you! Craziness. Who on earth could finish all that?!

I think there should be a disclaimer that everyone should order the Junior cheeseburger unless you have a huge appetite, the regular is just huge!

Seriously! I wish I had looked it up before I got it so I knew a little more about what to order without feeling horrendous afterward!

I tried Five Guys for the first time several months ago and I didn’t like it. It was way too greasy and heavy for me. Once was enough for me πŸ™‚

I may be a nutrition student, but five guys knows how to do burgers and fries. Seriously, their fries are like crack…can’t just have one.

Oooo, it’s been a while since I’ve had that greasy goodness. The flavor really is pretty amazing… if you can get past the grease. haha

I actually ordered the mini hamburger with just lettuce, tomato, onions and pickles. I thought it was delicious and not greasy at all! Maybe each location makes them differently re: the grease factor.

Hmm maybe! Or maybe it was just the double layer of cheese on mine? It was definitely tasty, just really heavy! Next time I’ll definitely get the junior!

We just got one in Vegas and everyone seems to rave about it. I have yet to try it.

Yeah that’s pretty much exactly why I wanted to try it…just because everyone talks about how good it was. I mean, it was good, but it definitely didn’t leave me feeling so great. It’s heavy!
