life: all about containers

sharing my favorite containers from food storage to pantry storage and packable meal containers!

all about containers // cait's plate

Chad and I have been making a concerted effort to get some spring cleaning and organizing done in the house (hello Container Store, our new best friend!).

We moved in just one week before Owen was born so we haven’t really had the time to actually set-up/decorate/organize in the way that we would have liked.

But now that Owen’s older and will play independently (and we’re a little less sleep deprived) we’re actually able to do a little of it each weekend!

My goal (of course) is to organize the kitchen! When we moved in we just threw everything everywhere, so getting a bunch of uniform containers, pantry organization, etc. has been high on my list!

I get a lot of questions from you guys about containers so I figured I would share a few of the ones that I’m currently loving! As we get more organized, I’ll update this post if I end up getting more that I love!

PANTRY ORGANIZERS

These OXO Good Grips containers are amazing. They’re stackable, they come in many different sizes, they have a locking seal so they’re airtight which keep foods fresh. I can’t say enough good things about them. They’re not inexpensive but in my opinion, they’re worth the investment. Eventually Chad and I hope to build up enough that it’s all we have in our pantry!

FOOD STORAGE CONTAINERS

I love these Snapware containers. They have a pyrex base so they’re microwave/oven/freezer/fridge/dishwasher safe (which is great because you can heat and eat right in the container if you want!). I’ve also never had an issue with leakage, which is a total plus!

PACKABLE MEAL CONTAINERS

feta & spinach turkey meatballs // cait's plate

These Prep Naturals Meal Prep Containers are awesome for packable lunches – especially if you tend to bring things that need to be warmed up (these too are microwave/oven/freezer/fridge/dishwasher safe). They also include little sauce containers that are (truly) leak proof! I like the 3 compartment 34 oz. ones, but they have many different sizes/compartment options!

And that’s it! Short and sweet but definitely my go-tos right now! Like I said above, I’ll definitely update if/when I get others that I fall head over heels in love with!
