Keepin’ It Real

0 · Apr 18, 2012 · 18 Comments

Well, my big goals for the day kind of fell through thanks to a dull headache that decided to hang around for most of the afternoon.

The rain let up a bit after lunch so I moved outside for a little fresh air…

I did a little reading, a little work on the computer and then headed back inside to close my eyes in the hopes that I’d wake up headache-free.

When my sister came home we headed to the nail salon in her complex – she got a manicure while I got a pedicure…

From there we decided to keep it real…

Yeah! Burger is one of my favorite places for a good, quick burger in Atlanta.  I’ve tried both their veggie and their turkey and have really enjoyed both!

Plus I just love the whole atmosphere of the place…

I got a turkey burger (affectionately termed “burkery burger” by my niece Madeleine) with american cheese, pickles, avocado, onions, lettuce, ketchup and mustard:

Sweet potato fries on the side:

Delicious.

Iced water with lemon to hydrate:

Can’t get enough of this when the weather gets warmer.

After we finished eating (because clearly we hadn’t had enough) – we headed across the street to Yogli Mogli for some dessert!

I got thin mint + peanut butter yogurt then topped it with all kinds of goodies:

Good to the last drop

We’re watching a little Mad Men then calling it a night.  Hoping for a more productive day tomorrow!

I’ve been craving frozen yogurt all afternoon but I don’t feel like driving to get it…so I won’t. But DANG that looks good!

    Hope you feel better tomorrow!

New commenter who happens to live in Atlanta! And oh my goodness I freaked out when I saw Yeah! Burger in my Google Reader just now! SO good and I love the virginia-highland location. Try DBA Barbeque down the street if you haven’t already- their sweet tater tots are incredible.

I definitely will! Thanks for the suggestion 🙂 I love the Virginia-Highlands area as well. My sister used to live in and around there so it holds a special place in my heart. I love Murphy’s brunch, George’s burgers and was SO excited when Yeah Burger and Yogli Mogli popped up there!

You certainly know how to take a dull day into fab! Pedicures, burgers and fro-yo…that sounds like a vacation to me! 🙂

I did! It looks much bigger in this picture than it actually was but I was definitely pretty full afterwards!
