Evening!

DSC 0025

I spent a lotย of time in the kitchen today.

Cookies this afternoon and then 2 new recipes for dinner!

But that’s what rainy days are for, right?

Dinner turned out well – but boy were there a lot of dishes!

I made fresh pesto (using this recipe) which we put over whole wheat bowtie pasta and served with grilled chicken –

The pesto was incredible – I highly recommend the recipe.

The other new recipe was the tomato bisque that we had alongside –

I used this recipe but omitted the celery (because I didn’t have it), halved the onion, and omitted the bacon.

Overall a yummy, filling dinner!

I think one of these will be up for dessert!

I have pesto in the fridge and couldn’t think of what to serve with the pasta – tomato soup sounds like a perfect complimentary dish!
