tackling the topic of plate overwhelm for toddlers
Did you know that putting too much food on your toddler’s plate can actually overwhelm and intimidate them so much that they won’t even get started on eating? It’s true!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A good rule of thumb is to start small (a good place to begin is usually about 1/4 of what you would plate for yourself). Remember that they can always ask for and be served more!
Smaller serving sizes to begin put less pressure on your toddler and can feel more manageable and approachable rather than intimidating.
This creates an overall more positive and enjoyable eating experience for them and as an added bonus, you’ll likely also have less food waste!
