these easy 6-ingredient whole grain waffles are quick and delicious. no waffle iron? these can easily be made into pancakes instead!

Happy Fourth to everyone celebrating!

I ready something the other day that said it’s so weird that Americans call this holiday “Fourth of July” which is more in line with the British time/date naming convention. I never thought of that until I read that…technically, since we typically say the month then the day it should be Happy July Fourth!

Anyway, I just wanted to pop in quickly to wish you all a wonderful holiday and leave you with my favorite 6-ingredient waffle recipe!

I hope you all have a happy, healthy & safe celebration and I highly recommend kicking it off with these waffles πŸ˜‰

  • 1 cup milk (any kind)
  • Optional add-ins: 1 teaspoon cinnamon, pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat waffle iron
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add all dry ingredients together into a bowl and whisk to combine
  3. In a separate smaller mixing bowl, combine milk, egg & oil, whisking to combine
  4. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients folding with a rubber spatula until just combined.
  5. Add 1/3 cup batter to each waffle iron section and cook

Hi Polly! I use the Cuisinart 4-Slice Belgian Waffle Maker – I’ve had it for years and really love it!
