location: fearrington village – pittsboro, north carolina
after spending the day in chapel hill – we drove about 20 minutes down the road to pittsboro, north carolina where our beautiful room at the fearrington house inn (a relais & châteaux destination) was waiting for us. the bed in our room was quite possibly the most comfortable bed i’ve ever slept in and we loved having the fireplace in the main room to cozy up next to and read or listen to music. we had an amazing evening and day following in fearrington (as we always do!) and were absolutely heartbroken to have to leave.
where we stayed: the fearrington house inn – this place far exceeded our expectations. we’ve been to fearrington many times but have never actually stayed the night and i’m so glad we finally did. they thought of absolutely everything – from the slippers, port & truffles at turndown to our beautiful room and their all-star service, we couldn’t have been happier with our stay.
pajamas: victoria’s secret (SO comfy) // white jeans: celebrity pink // white tank: target // cardigan: mossimo supply co. – sold out {similar here & here} // blue shirt: knox rose for target – sold out {similar here} // flats: mossimo supply co.
where we ate: the fearrington house restaurant (which offered an amazing complimentary sunday breakfast complete with mixed berry smoothies, fresh pastries and freshly squeezed OJ!), the goat (from their lattes to pastries and s’mores flavored gelato, we have yet to have a bad meal here) and the granary (the salmon was delicious but the beltie ice cream sandwich was to die for. they also have an amazing sunday brunch which we skipped this time, but had last time we visited). and while we didn’t make it to the roost beer garden this time, we could hear the live music playing as we walked around the village after dinner. it’s high on our list next time we visit!
what we did: spent hours wandering around mcintyre’s books, ducked into dovecoat style for some shopping, hung around the barn watching the beltie cows, goats and chickens, toured the garden, spent time reading by fireplaces from the one in our room to the one at mcintyre’s books and the one in the garden room and even strolled around the lake path.
