Clara’s life is tough…

DSCN0112

Don’t you feel bad for her?Β

I got all ready to head out to the pool and study only to find it was LOCKED!

Such a bummer!

So I came back in, did a couple pages in my GRE book and snacked on an orange to hold me over til lunch:

Yes, I refuse to change out of my suit because I am DETERMINED to go out by the pool at some point today!

After a couple more pages of problems that did pretty much nothing other than make me want to RIP MY HAIR OUT, I got up and prepared a nice protein-packed salad for lunch (I guess protein is the theme of the day)

DSCN0115

I shredded up some smoked honey turkey, boiled an egg, diced a couple baby carrots

DSCN0116

and sliced an avocado –

DSCN0117

I gathered my big old bowl of mixed greens…

DSCN0118

Then all that was left to do was combine!

DSCN0119

In everything went, one at a time…

DSCN0120

DSCN0121

Until all that was left was the super creamy, perfectly ripe avocado…

So good it’s almost not fair. Β Emphasis on almost.

All together now:

DSCN0127

A perfect lunch for a hot day!

There are some watermelon slices in the fridge that I may need to break into shortly…that is if and only if I can get over how grossed out I am by THIS:

DSCN0129

A COCKROACH!

I haven’t had the guts to move him yet (I HATE bugs!!) but I’m going to try to man up and get it done just so that I don’t have to look at it anymore.

Here’s to hoping the pool is open and the cockroach is gone by the next time I see you!

Lunch looks so amazing!! I don’t eats eggs regularly by themselves (I’ll only eat it if its baked/cooked into something (like a muffin, pancakes) but you’ve got be craving a hard boiled egg.

I’m determined to go out running today, I’m going to put on my workout gear and go! Thanks for the inspiration πŸ™‚

Bugs scare me too!! I always call my brother to come and take them outside. haha

Hope GRE studying gets easier. I took the LSAT (law school admissions test) in October and I studied a lot. So i definitely know how you feel, Its very frustrating.

Now that I have been admitted to law school (I start in August), every moment of studying has paid off. Just keep the image of what you want in your head, and remind yourself why you’re studying. Good Luck!! πŸ™‚

Ewww! I saw something scurry away when I opened my dishwasher this afternoon & I thought “dear God please tell me that wasn’t a cockroach!” It quickly disappeared (even though I was scared, I did check to see if it was on the floor or something!) & I hope it doesn’t show it’s face again!

Math makes me want to pull my hair out EVERY TIME. (Oh except the 3rd grade variety…that I can handle).

Good luck with the studying and that terrifying bug. Then come move to CO – we don’t have cockroaches.
