When Fall comes around, I get so excited to bust out my crockpots and dutch ovens! Soups, stews and chilis just scream comfort and warmth to me. They’re also pretty handy when it comes to dealing with busy school nights and back-to-school schedules. They come together easily (especially if you use the crockpot!), they serve a good number of people and you can pack them with nutrition.
I find it’s always helpful to remind myself of my favorite recipes around this time of year, so I’ve compiled a list of my top 8. They’re a mixture of vegetarian, meat-filled, using the crockpot or cooking right on the stovetop so there should be something for everyone. But even if there’s not, feel free to use the base of one and make it your own – that’s the beauty of these types of dishes, they’re easily customizable!
