I had the honor of getting to enjoy Wheely’s Coffee in the comfort of my own living room this afternoon and it was wonderful!
For those of you that are unfamiliar with Wheely’s, they are, in their own words, ‘a chain of organic bicycle cafés, enabling people (ALL people) to start their own businesses.’
I prepared their Indonesian Idolatry coffee using a Chemex and following Wheely’s guide and all I can say is that I was absolutely blown away. I normally use a drip filter so some of it may have to do with the better equipment, but I truly felt I was drinking coffee out at a coffee shop rather than at home on my own sofa.
I topped mine with warm, foamy unsweetened soymilk as I always do and absolutely nothing else. This allowed the full taste of the coffee to come through – thick and rich with earthy flavors and absolutely no bitterness.
It was pure perfection.
Not only was their coffee incredible, but I love the whole vision behind the company. They strive to make it simpler for people to open their own cafes, shops and restaurants even if they don’t have a ton of money. They’re also a green cafe! In their words, they ‘serve organic, vegan food from cafés that run on energy from your body and the sun.’ What could be better than that?
I’ll tell you what. Pairing the coffee with Wheely’s RA Chocolate. This chocolate not only tastes delicious but they contain no colorings, preservatives and nothing artificial. They’re also 100% organic, dairy and gluten free with no added refined white sugar.
A perfect way to spend an afternoon. A big thank you to Wheely’s for letting me have a true Wheely’s Coffee experience right at home!
