Comfort & Joy

It was a morning filled with comfort and joy.

We slept soย well and woke up to the sun shining, a cool breeze, the river running and birds chirping!

We headed outside to wake up a little and enjoy the beautiful morning –

And when our stomachs started to rumble we headed into Hanover for some breakfast!

We settled on Lou’s Restaurant & Bakery.

The coffee got me in the door –

And the bakery case made me stay for our meal!

The menu was incredible and it definitely took us a while to decide but ultimately I hadย to go with Kim’s Healthy Special:

A “Red, White & Blue Waffle” – a buckwheat & flax waffle with strawberries, blueberries and a dollop of plain yogurt.

So unbelievably good.

Chad got the glazed cruller french toast (yes, literally a glazed doughnut sliced and made into french toast) –

Each of our dishes came with our own little bottle of pure maple syrup!

And on the side we split 2 scrambled eggs (for extra protein) which were so incredibly fluffy and delicious.ย

We left two very fully, very happy campers.

Your waffle looks AMAZING. I treated myself to blueberry and banana pancakes this morning at a local diner. Mmm, mmm, good!

Cait! This is where I live and I have been oblivious. Thank you for reminding me how baautiful it is. Can’t wait to get to Lou’s for a glazed donut. You have made our town look succulent from the flora to Main St.
