For those of you that follow me you may have noticed that i’ve been on a bit of a pinning rampage lately:

There’s just no end to the number of creative, amusing, interesting and beautiful things you can find there.

Up until today, I think Chad was getting worried that it was replacing him at my #1 love in life.

That’s until I made him these:

The world’s easiest snack (or finger food…or appetizer…or letting-your-boyfriend-know-you-still-love-him-the-most-food) depending on what you’re making them for.

Being me, I of course tried to make these as healthy as possible.  Not always easy to do when working with packaged foods, but I think I did alright all things considered!

All you need to do is take some low-sodium pepperoni (Armour makes a great one), a package of crescent rolls (whole wheat if you can find them!) and some reduced-fat string cheese and a couple of rolls later you’ll be happily munching your way through the pile!

Pepperoni and Cheese Crescent Rolls

Makes 8 rolls

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of 8 reduced fat crescent rolls
  • 4 reduced fat mozzarella string cheese, halved
  • 24 slices of lower-sodium pepperoni
  • Marinara sauce, heated

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
  2. Unroll crescent rolls
  3. Place 3 slices of pepperoni and halved mozzarella stick on the roll and re-roll it
  4. Repeat until all the pepperoni and cheese has been used
  5. Bake for 11-15 minutes
  6. Serve with warmed marinara sauce for dipping

I think they went over pretty well!

I DID notice your pinning spree, actually…and I LOVE it. Considering I re-pin 90% of what you do.

Also, those rolls…stellar. I’m going to have them waiting for Meeker when he get’s home one night. He’ll flip. 🙂

Those are so fun! And while I may not eat meat, the pepperoni could easily be replaced with some veggies!

I am totally guilty of re-pinning your pins, lots of pretty places and yums! I’m sitting on the couch with my hubby and he thinks those would are husband-approved too 😉
