SCENES FROM: THE FOURTH OF JULY

0 · Jul 5, 2013 · 12 Comments

happy friday everyone!

for those of you that celebrated, i hope you enjoyed!  we spent the day at the u.s. national whitewater center and enjoyed every minute of it (despite the boughs of pouring rain, which i thought made it kind of exciting…i don’t think most people agreed with me on that though – there was a lot of umbrellas turning inside out, chairs flying and scrambling to stay dry!)

we did stand up paddle boarding (and even tried our hand at SUP yoga…how people do full classes of this I will NEVER know – it is NOT easy), listened to live music, ate cookout food, ice cream cookie sandwiches and just relaxed until the fireworks.

Haha oh I fell over! It is SUPER hard to keep your balance on those things! I can see why it’s such a good workout 🙂 And glad you liked the fireworks pictures! There were SO many good ones, it was hard to pick a favorite!

Stand up paddle boarding looks like so much fun! I’m going to have to figure out how to get my hands on one.

Looks like such a fun time!
I’ve never even tried SUP, let alone yoga SUP! It looks tricky but I think I’d like to give it a go sometime.
Glad you had a good holiday!

You definitely should at least try SUP – it’s so so much fun! SUP yoga on the other hand is a liiiiittle more difficult! Fun I’m sure once you’ve mastered it though!

Ugh, I don’t blame you! Definitely give it a try at some point and let me know if you think it’s as hard as I did! It’s totally possible that my lack of coordination played a role 🙂 Still thought it was so fun though!
