We spent the afternoon here:
The Whitewater Center in Charlotte is just amazing.
You can do everything from stand up paddle boarding to trail running and biking as well as kayaking and whitewater rafting!
Notice the zip-liner above? I am declaring that I will absolutely do that before the summer is over!
While we have a list a mile long of things we want to do here (including zip-lining, kayaking and paddle boarding) we stuck to the trails today for a 4 mile trail run.
We tried to get running pictures but sweat + movement makes that really hard!
That and people covering their faces entirely when you go to take the picture:
After we finished we hung out for a bit munching on apple slices and watching the whitewater rafters go by then headed home to shower so we could get some food and go see a movie!
We stopped quickly at Jason’s Deli for some sandwiches…
I got the Chicken Panini – Natural, grilled chicken breast, provolone, basil pesto sauce with nuts, roma tomatoes, organic spinach. Pressed within wheat bread.
It also came with baked potato chips and free soft serve ice cream!
Best part of this place BY far.
I think even Chad was excited about it…
(see those chips left on his plate? the fact that he left those for this says something!)
After eating we headed to the movie theater to see “The Dictator.”
The movie was pretty much exactly what we expected it to be…if you’re trying to save your pennies, I wouldn’t suggest seeing it in theaters.
A fun afternoon and evening overall – now soccer is on the TV and my pillow is calling my name!
Night everyone 🙂

go ziplining asap! it is SO much fun! my husband and I went last year in honduras and we both said if we get another opportunity, it is definitely worth every penny!
that park looks like so much fun! white water rafting is on my bucket list, but i think I am saving that for a trip to colorado. my brother in law lives in vail and has a raft so I am trying to convince him for a little family bonding session 🙂

Ooh Colorado would be the perfect place for it! And I know – I can’t wait to go ziplining! Good to know you loved it so much!
