chilly

Hello!

Another relaxing day is under my belt.

I started the day off with a delicious bowl of apple pie oatmeal served up in my brand new Christmas mug.  It’s getting chilly out there so I wanted something warm and comforting.

B246172c4aae11e2bacd22000a9e08df 7

{1/2 cup oatmeal, 1 diced apple, dash of apple pie spice, spoonful of peanut butter, kashi go lean crunch}

I did a little baking in the kitchen (don’t worry, I’ll be sure to take a picture of all the final products!) and before I knew it, it was time for lunch!

This was exactly what i was craving:

{hummus & veggie sandwich: toasted whole wheat bread, hummus, grape tomatoes, carrots and spring mix + a dash of sea salt with an orange on the side}

I headed over to a neighbors house for a little bit to hang out with the kids I used to babysit…their house is totally decked out (just like everyone else’s house in Newtown…it’s what I love so much about living here!) –

It was so good to see the kids!  We (of course) plugged in the tree in the game room and popped on a Christmas movie….obviously.

I also got a quick 30 minutes on the elliptical done which was nice.

For dinner, I had a one track mind –

7b05a80c4b0011e2862522000a1f9c96 7

{brown rice, Amy’s vegetarian medium chili, plain greek yogurt, avocado and blue corn chips}

ALL I wanted was veggie chili and this completely hit the spot.  I looked forward to it as a dinner all day!

I have a feeling there’s going to be a dessert in my future as well…I’m going to think about what it will be while watching A Christmas Carol for the 18th time   You’ll see it on Instagram if there is one!

    I’ve never tried fruit in my oatmeal. It’s mainly just nuts and milk. I may have to give this a try.

    Don’t you just love this time of year?

    Happy Holidays!
