nordstrom anniversary sale picks

It’s my absolute favorite time of year! I literally wait all year long for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Every year I feel like I get the best Fall and Winter staples that I wear over and over and over again.

I’m sure you’re all sick of hearing about it by now (I know every fashion blogger has been posting about it since early last week), but honestly, if you’re never shopped the sale before, I HIGHLY recommend it. You’re getting incredibly good quality clothing for amazing prices. Like I said, the stuff I get through the #NSale is stuff that I literally wear for years to come!

For anyone unfamiliar, the sale opened to the public on Friday July 21st and will go on through Sunday August 6th. After that, prices go up so definitely shop before then!

All of that said, I wanted to recap up my favorite picks (hopefully they’re not all sold out, but even if they are, keep checking because you never know what might come back in stock!) from this year’s sale so you can get any you like before it’s too late! I’ve linked all my looks so you can just click on anything you like and it should bring you right to the product page!

CARDIGANS, JEANS & TEES:

LOOK #1:

Jeans: These AG jeans are THE BEST jeans I’ve ever put on. They’re super comfortable thanks to their stretch but also look somewhat fitted (so you can feel put together but also totally comfy during the day!) – I can even button them up with the bump which is a HUGE plus! If they’re not already sold out by the time you’re trying to shop, there are a couple other good options (like these rag & bone jeans – which I really wanted to get, but felt like fitting them over the bump would be tricky! and these articles of society jeans). Fit true to size (TTS) – or at least as far as I can tell right now with a big baby bump!

Tee: I always stock up on a bunch of these tees during the sale. They come in a bunch of colors, they’re $15, good quality and are perfect for layering all throughout Fall and Winter. Just a really good basic. Fits TTS – I’m wearing a small for reference.

Cardigan: I stocked up on these cardigans this year because I was late to pull the trigger last year and missed out! They sell out FAST every year because they’re $31, come in lots of great colors and perfect for Fall. I love a long cardigan because it can go with everything – jeans, leggings, dresses… this has an oversized fit, but still fit TTS (I’m wearing a small for reference) and are soft and comfortable. It’s fairly lightweight which makes it perfect for layering. I’m certain I’ll be wearing them around the house A LOT this year.

Booties: I am OBSESSED with these. I’m obsessed with booties in general but these in particular. They’re not only incredibly comfortable but they look SUPER cute on. Highly recommend them out of any booties in the sale! Fit TTS.

Crossover ring: I realize you can’t see this Nadri crossover ring all that well in the picture but if you click the link you’ll see how pretty it is. I’ve wanted this for a LONG time, but couldn’t bring myself to pay $5o+ for it so I was thrilled to see it was part of the sale! I got the Rose Gold color and am wearing a size 6.

Jeans: Like I mentioned up there, not part of the sale, but only $59 so they might as well be! They’re super comfortable, stretchy and again, I can juuuuust button them even with the bump. Definitely my new go-to pair of everyday white jeans (also worth it since I wear white after Labor Day!). Fit TTS.

Booties: Love these booties as well! As soon as I saw they were going to be a part of the sale I knew I was going to get them. They’re comfortable as heck and have no zipper so I can just easily slip them on. They have a little bit of a heel like the pair I’m wearing in the first picture, so you can dress them up or down.

Tee: They seem to have a similar version of this long-sleeved tee every year. It’s soft, comfortable, roomy and goes with everything. I wore the one I got last year both lounging around the house as well as to go to class. I layered it with cardigans in the Fall and Winter and wore it by itself in Spring. It’s super versatile and under $20! Fits TTS (I’m wearing a small)

Cardigan: I’m SO sad this Leith circle cardigan that I’m wearing sold out. It’s SO soft and just has the best structure. I love that it also has pockets because it literally makes it feel like it’s hugging you! I hope it comes back in stock (it won’t even let me link it since it’s sold out but there’s a similar one here!) or they repeat it at next year’s sale! Fits TTS (I’m wearing a small)

Nude pumps: I’ve been needing a good neutral pump and these work perfectly for Fall. The heel is less than 3″ so they’re super easy to walk around in. They’re also really comfortable and I love the pointed toe. Fit TTS.

Cardigan: THIS cardigan you guys. It is THE softest thing I may have felt in my life. It feels like being wrapped in a fuzzy blanket (and those of you that know me know I’m a sucker for a cozy, soft blanket!). I also love this color for Fall and Winter. It’s medium weight which means you can wear as a top layer during Fall and under a jacket during Winter to get the warmth you need out of it! Fits TTS (I’m wearing a small).

Cardigan: This is another super soft cardigan that has a bit of a fuzzy feel to it. It’s a more of an oversized fit, making it perfect for lounging around the house. I particularly love the length – being 5’8″ I often find long cardigans hit me at the thigh versus knee, so I was happy to find one that worked for my height! It’s also really warm – much warmer than the BP. cardigans. It’s currently sold out in the cream color I’m wearing but still available in the grey! I’m wearing a size small for reference.

Tee: This twist front tee is SO soft. It comes in tons of colors and can be worn to work out in, under cardigans or just with a pair of shorts. I like little details that make things feel special so the twist sold me. It’s not part of the sale, but it’s only $22 so you can totally stock up! BP. is Nordstrom’s store brand and I’ve bought a lot of it over the years – it’s good quality, lasts a long while and is less expensive than a lot of other options! Fits TTS – I’m wearing a small for reference.

Cardigan: This cardigan is probably the most lightweight of all of them which will make it perfect for early Fall in the Carolinas as well as for early Spring! It fits true to size (I’m wearing size small for reference).

Leggings: These zella leggings are seriously some of my favorite leggings ever. I have full-length pairs so I stocked up on the capris during the sale. They’re also pretty They’re awesome to work out in but you can also wear them with boots and a long shirt and totally get away with wearing leggings to work! They fit TTS – I’m wearing a size small for reference.

Shoes: These Nike shoes are amazing. I’ve been looking for some white sneakers for a while now and I fell in love with these. Chad isn’t sure how he feels about them, but the comfort and convenience of them sold me (they’re slip-on with no laces which will not only be helpful when the baby comes but as my belly grows!). They fit TTS.

Sweater: This has gone in and out of stock since the start of the sale so keep checking back to see if it’s in stock! It’s soft, roomy and really comfortable. The back is also a little bit longer (which I personally love). It’ll be great for early Fall! Despite being a looser fit, it fits TTS (I’m wearing a small)

Jeans: These are pretty similar to the other articles of society jeans I discussed above. Super stretchy and comfortable with a little bit of distressing at the knee. They have a frayed hem and cut off at the ankle which I really like (especially with booties!). Fit TTS.

LOOK #2:

Sweatshirt: This is the softest sweatshirt ever. It feels like being wrapped in cashmere when you’re wearing it. It’s warm, but also lightweight. The thing I love most about it is that it’s perfect for lounging but can also pass as a nice sweater if thrown on with a pair of jeans! Fits TTS (I’m wearing a small).

Jeans: Same commentary I’ve given on the other articles of society jeans. They’re just super comfortable! I love that I can still get these on despite the pregnancy! Fit TTS.

Boatneck Knit Pullover: This sweater might be my favorite pullover of the entire sale. I love the boatneck and the semi-relaxed fit. You can also easily dress it up or down to make it fit any occasion. It’s super soft and lightweight so it will be great for early Fall and Spring. Fits TTS (I’m wearing a small).

LOOK #4:

Plaid Top: This top is sooo soft and comfortable. Are you noticing a theme among the clothes I chose??? 🙂 I also love it because it’s a little longer so it works best for taller girls like me (and also with my pregnant belly!). Untucked it goes to about my mid-thigh which makes it great to wear under a sweater or with leggings. But you can easily tuck it in in the front when wearing with jeans. Fits TTS (I’m wearing a small).

Jacket: I love the structure and detail of this jacket. It’s lightweight making it perfect for Fall and Spring and fits TTS.

LOOK #8:

Top: Okay so try to look past how wrinkled this top was (it was for the sake of getting this post up earlier enough so you can still shop it!) and it paid off cause this adorable bell sleeve poplin top is still in stock! It’s SUPER cute and I love the bell sleeve detailing. Fits TTS (I’m wearing a small).

Sweatshirt: This sweatshirt is really cozy. It’s not as soft as the make + model sweatshirt I talked about above but it’s still super comfy. I ordered it in a large so that it would have more of an oversized fit (and could fit over the bump!).

PAJAMAS:

Both of these pajama sets are so soft and comfortable. The nordstrom set on the left is soft and lightweight making them perfect summer pajamas! Fit TTS (I’m wearing a small).

The make + model pants & sweatshirt literally feel like you’re wrapped in a cloud. I can’t even accurately describe how soft and perfect they are! Fit TTS (I’m wearing a small).

SHOES:

Just a closer look at all the shoes featured above. Don’t mind Ollie – he refused to move away from them for the pictures – he definitely loves shoes as much as I do!
