Apple Pie Oatmeal

2 · Apr 28, 2012 · 7 Comments

I woke up wanting pancakes but having no desire whatsoever to actually make them.

So, despite the 80 degree weather that’s creeping in, oatmeal it was for breakfast!

I had a crispy braeburn apple in the fridge just begging to be turned into apple pie oats!

Apple Pie Oatmeal {for one}:

  • 1/2 cup quick cooking oats
  • 1 diced apple
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp. apple pie spice

All cooked up in the microwave for super easy, super quick cooking…

Topped with granola and a spoonful of sunflower seed butter.

Delicious down to the very last spoonful:

Coffee on the side:

Consumed in the typical fashion when Clara is around:

I was seriously considering making the same thing for myself this morning!! I opted for oats in and jar instead, though. Looks great, Cait!
