right back at it

My school has been on Fall break for the past couple of days so I enjoyed an extended day in Boston with my nieces!  We went to swim lessons, ate cupcakes and soaked up every last minute together before I sadly had to end my fabulous trip!

Today was right back to the usual routine, starting with a Halloween-themed breakfast!

Quaker Oatmeal Squares were on sale for $2.99 and the only time I allow myself to buy them is when they’re on sale (since it happens so often) so I happily picked up a box of the cinnamon-flavored ones…which of course made it into my breakfast bowl this morning 😉

I added some grapes and a mug of coffee + soymilk on the side and was happy as a could be (I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t more due to the fact that I was eating out of a pumpkin bowl and drinking out of a ghost mug than anything else….)

After my one class I headed back home to study, study, study!  I have 2 exams and a presentation tomorrow so there was no time to waste.

HOWEVER, the running bug bit me on this beautiful day and I just couldn’t pass up a quick 3.2 miles!

I figured it would be better to get it out of my system early on so I could dedicate the rest of the day to focusing.

And I actually did a pretty good job of it!  I set up shop and studied diligently for the majority of the afternoon.

The key is leaving my computer on the desk and the remote out of my reach 🙂

Around 1:15 my stomach started growling so I made a quick and easy lunch – a hummus & veggie sandwich along with a sliced pear.

Hit the spot and aside from a handful of peanut butter pretzel nuggets (SO good) at 4ish…it kept me full all the way through the afternoon.

I took a quick study break for dinner and just reheated the last of my frozen chicken parm…making meals ahead to freeze is the best thing in the world…I need to re-stock my supply pretty soon!

I’m off to study for my last exam (and maybe sneak a little decompressing yoga in as well!) and then I’m hitting the hay.

Too much travel and too many exams make me one tired girl!

I LOVE that mug – seriously, adorable!
And I’m buckling down tonight and studying for my CPT. Thankfully the review session I just did went well and I’m thinking a yoga break (and clearly a couple blogs) and then getting back to it!

Yoga/blog breaks are ESSENTIAL to a good study session if you ask me 😉 GOOD LUCK!

Eating oatmeal squares is always an enjoyable ting. Eating oatmeal squares out of a pumpkin bowl is fantastic! 🙂

Glad you are getting back into the swing of things.

I’m trying my best! Haha. It doesn’t always work out, but the effort is there. And thank you! I got it at Williams-Sonoma last year I believe 🙂

I always wonder if I would do well on a nutrition exam now. I know that I’d fail the RD exam if I had to take it this instant. Retain it all now, you lose some of it when you begin to specialize in an area.

Haha I know, I often think about that as well. I couldn’t take my college exams now and pass them so I’m sure it will be the same with this!
