style: trunk club try-on #2

trying on and sharing my thoughts on my latest trunk from Trunk Club.

style: trunk club try-on #2 // cait's plate

It’s been a while since I did a trunk club try-on despite the fact that I get them every month!

I had some hit or miss experiences with my past stylists but my latest one has been much better. This time around I asked for comfortable basics – so nothing fancy here!

Look 1:

This shirt surprised me. I thought I wasn’t going to like it but when I put it on, it was light and breezy, super comfortable and a good length.

I’ve already talked all about my love for these jeans. They’re super comfortable and perfect for summer. I don’t know about you but I don’t love the thought of pulling on skinny jeans in super hot weather, so I’m all about a boyfriend jean right now and these are my jam.

I’m obsessed with Very Cavillari on E! and have loved Kristin since her Laguna Beach days. I always love her jewelry on the show so when it came to Nordstrom I was super excited. This piece was cute but felt a little more like costume jewelry is the only way I can explain it? It was cute, but a little more than I would be willing to pay for a piece of this quality.

These sandals weren’t in my trunk, but I got them for my Europe trip from Nordstrom and I basically haven’t taken them off since!

My stylist didn’t add this Feed bag, but they allow you to add pieces if you refuse something they pick, so I went with this. I love the Feed mission and have supported the brand since their inception. Their stuff is high quality and I love that they’re working to combat hunger. There’s also a “Mom on a Mission” version which I definitely want to get!

This shirt is a little more structured than a normal t-shirt but still comfortable and cute.

These pants are super comfortable. Just a black linen jogger that I can see being perfect for summer.

Sandals are mine but are my most-worn pair (pretty much lived in them last summer!).

This shirt is cute but the cut was a little weird on me. I really wanted to like it because I always love adding feminine pieces to my otherwise jeans and t-shirt wardrobe, but ultimately decided against it.

These shorts are the most comfortable pair of denim shorts I’ve ever had on and they even have a cute little rainbow on the back. The only thing I didn’t like about them was that there are no pockets. If you’re a pocket person, you might want to pass on these.

OBSESSED with these cute Soludos slip-ons. They’re easy and comfortable which are basically the #1 tenets in my wardrobe!

This Madewell top was cute but just a little too boxy for my liking. It reminds me of a shirt my mom had growing up that she held onto and my sisters and I were so obsessed with. The texture is like the soft side of a towel.

These jeans are ridiculously comfortable (not surprising considering they’re made by AG which is one of my favorite denim brands in terms of fit). I don’t even know how they can be called jeans because they honestly feel like leggings.

Love this scarf! Color, look and feel are all perfect.

Talked about how I felt about this body suit in this post!
