It’s been too long since I did a “weekend scenes” post! We packed our days with all the stuff we love and are both now bemoaning the end of it!
We spent most of Sunday in and around Boston…which included a stop at Pavement Coffeehouse for bagel sandwiches and warm drinks!
Then Monday we stopped by my sister’s to visit with my nieces before road-tripping to New Hampshire to get our fill of foliage and apple picking!
The drive to New Hampshire was absolutely beautiful – and our first stop was no different.
We visited Proctor Academy’s campus because Chad actually went to high school there and hadn’t been back for some time. The whole campus was so beautiful – I wish my high school had looked like this! After we said our goodbyes we packed up and headed to a nearby orchard – Carter Hill – to do a little apple picking (and apple cider doughnut eating).
And then, as if the weekend weren’t perfect enough, we climbed in the car, snacked on doughnuts and drove home under a painted sky…

These pictures are amazing!!!
Thank you! 🙂 I have to give all the credit to the scenery… it was incredible!
What lovely fall scenery! And the food (especially apple cider donuts) looks amazing!!
My FAVORITE part about apple picking is the apple cider doughnuts at the end! 🙂
Oh my goodness…this just makes my heart ache for Boston and New England even more than usual. Let’s be honest, I’m meant to end up back in that area someday.
Haha I hear you. I felt the same way in the time that I was away…and there’s just nothing like Fall to make your heart ache for the place!
All of these pictures are beautiful!! what a perfect fall weekend!
Thank you! And yes, it really was…there’s just nothing like fall in new england!
Gah, New England in the fall is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! Those colors are stunning, surreal looking 🙂 We were originally planning to get up there Columbus weekend but that obviously didn’t happen… Hopefully we make it sometime soon!
Yes! You definitely should – in my opinion nothing beats a New England autumn 😉 Hope your first day goes well!
Oh my gosh, this makes me miss Boston so much! It is my favorite city and all your photos are just motivating me to apply to Boston University for my doctorate even more! Your photography is gorgeous, loved this post!
Yes do it!! 🙂 I’m so glad you liked the post and that I was able to give you a little taste of New England fall 😉
Such a pretty view!
Agreed! I could hardly believe how pretty it was!
Beautiful! That looks like the best kind of weekend.
It most definitely was 🙂
Why have I never been to Pavement Coffee house before?? 🙂 I definitely need to check it out!
Yes definitely do! It’s already a favorite of mine 🙂
New England looks just perfect 🙂 I am absolutely praying that I can get there someday. My husband and I talked about taking a trip next summer; however, (I know it’ll still be beautiful in the summer but…) there is something to be said about going there in the fall. The trees are just beautiful!!
I would definitely recommend a trip in the Fall but truly there is no bad season here. Each one is just wonderful in my (incredibly biased) opinion! 🙂
