100% Whole Wheat Strawberry Waffles

14 · Apr 29, 2012 · 16 Comments

100% whole wheat strawberry waffles for brunch!

IMG 7761

These were so delicious!

Especially considering I just kind of made them on a whim.

My sister and I couldn’t decide what we felt like for brunch.

Or rather, what we felt motivated to actually get up and make.

Waffles are my go-to lazy brunch food.

All you have to do is mix up the batter

And pour it into the preheated waffle iron.

It doesn’t get much easier (or more delicious) than that!

Until you add sliced strawberries to the batter…

Then top it with melted chunky peanut butter:

What a yummy looking weekend breakfast! Except I would not be as restrained with my peanut butter usage…my motto is the more PB, the better 🙂

I just bought some raspberry waffles at the store (for the hubby) as they are his favorite. But homemade strawberry waffles would rock his world!
