Drop [And Give Me] 10

Another fabulous day in the books!

After brunch I leafed through my May issue of SELF Magazine and got inspired to do a quick workout:

8 Easy Toning Moves!

I love the SELF Challenge (now called “Drop 10”) workouts because they’re easy, achievable and don’t take tons of time and equipment to accomplish.

I think this year’s strength workouts are my favorite ones yet!

After I finished toning, my sister and I got ourselves lathered up in sunscreen and headed out to the pool. Β We both got a little more sun than we were hoping to yesterday so we only did an hour or so outside today so as not to overdo it.

After that we were up and out the door for a little walk (cardio!)

I definitely think Clara felt the most tuckered out of all of us:

She was panting like a maniac by the end!

Post walk I was less tuckered out and more just plain hungry.

An apple and peanut butter did the trick and held me over until dinner…for which ALL I wanted was veggies…

A big salad to cure that craving!

Into the bowl went:

  • Mixed greens
  • Baby carrots
  • Avocado
  • Battered Shrimp

And some refreshing citrus for dessert:

Can’t believe tomorrow is already Monday. Β Where did the weekend go?!

Night!

I definitely want to try that workout. I love incorporating new moves into my workout routine. How can I access the workout? Is it in the magazine?

Also, how much peanut butter do you normally have with your apple/or snack? Thank you πŸ™‚ Hope studying is going well

Click the picture of the “8 Easy Toning Moves” and it links you right to the slideshow of the workout πŸ™‚

I don’t measure my peanut butter so I’m not really sure. Most usually one spoonful – sometimes more, sometimes less! πŸ™‚

I love those Itty, Bitty Bikini workout videos and have downloaded them a couple of times! So funny that you posted this because I was just thinking about getting back into them. I sort of stopped after we went on a trip to Portland three weeks ago. The number 2 and 3 ones always kill me! This one is my favorite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=guiKbApiSgA&feature=relmfu

I saw that magazine is last month’s issue but haven’t tried it yet… looks like a good one! And the addition of the battered shrimp is a most fantastic choice πŸ™‚
