Vanishing Act

Where do the mornings go!?

I’m usually up no later than 7am but somehow by the time I finally sit down to blog it’s nearly 10!

My sister and I enjoyed a leisurely morning.

We watched New Girl (<– best new show out there if you ask me).

We ate breakfast.

And we hung out with this doofus:

It’s a rainy, dreary day out there so apple cinnamon oatmeal seemed the best choice for breakfast.

Into the bowl went:

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 diced gala apple

All prepared on the stovetop (cooked for about 5-7 minutes)

Topped with:

  • Apple pie spice
  • A handful of granola
  • MaraNatha Sunflower Seed Butter

Coffee on the side as always:

And rain drops outside…

I’m feeling slow this morning (I blame the weather) so I’m not sure how much I’ll accomplish between now and lunch but hopefully I get some gym time and some baking in at the very least today!

I was thinking, “It rained here today too.” But that’s because I’m in Atlanta, too! Funny 🙂 I hope the weather clears up for your visit!

Ahaha that’s so funny! And thank you – me too! If not, it’s just all the more reason to come back for another visit 🙂

Seriously, the hours of 8-12 go by SO quickly!! Then noon – 5 takes an eternity. I’d much rather have a morning that seems longer. Give Clara a pat for me – have fun!!

I know – why is that!? Even at work it was that way!! I (shockingly) completely agree with you that I’d much rather have a longer morning. I’m giving Clara her Katie pat as we speak (she says thank you) 🙂

I am feeling so slow and I do blame the rain here in Atlanta too! I know we needed the rain, but it’s done…can we have some sunshine now?

I’ve never made homemade apple cinnamon oatmeal, but I think I need to try that ASAP!
