style: a work week’s worth of easy outfits

2 · Jul 14, 2019 ·

a work week’s worth of easy outfit ideas.

Putting together another work week’s worth of outfits for you guys! My last post was super casual since it was a holiday week so I today I’m featuring 5 easy looks that are more office-friendly for those of you that head into a specific work environment every day (of course some of it depends on how strict your dress code is, but hopefully you can modify the looks to work for you!).

MONDAY: lightweight sweater, easy white jeans, crossbody tote and slip-on sneakers

a work week's worth of easy outfits // cait's plate

Back with my favorite pair of Madewell jeans and crossbody tote! (I swear this bag literally goes with everything). Despite the heat outside, I always found myself bringing a cardigan or lightweight sweater to the office because inside would always be freezing! This outfit is easy & casual while still being work-place appropriate. If you wanted to jazz it up a little you could swap the sneakers for some cute sandals.

TUESDAY: lightweight blouse, favorite pair of jeans, kitten heel & structured bag

Pairing a lightweight blouse with jeans and heels is the perfect way to get away with jeans at work! When I worked at InStyle, we had a pretty strict dress code, but I always found a blouse & heels let me get away with wearing jeans! Add a cute structured bag and you’re good to go!

WEDNESDAY: Breezy midi skirt with a sleeveless blouse and sandals

Breezy midi skirts and dresses were always my go-to when I was walking the hot streets of NYC in the summer. They’re work appropriate but also comfortable enough to wear all day. Plus, you can throw on heels and a blazer and be ready to go out straight from work!

THURSDAY: lightweight cami, blazer, jeans & kitten heels with a structured bag

I love this type of layering because even with the blazer off, you still look work place appropriate! And like I said, a good pair of heels can make everyone forget you’re wearing jeans!

FRIDAY: lightweight tee, black jeans, sandals & a crossbody tote

You made it to Friday which means you deserve to throw on nothing more than your favorite pair of jeans & a tee! I love a good monochrome outfit. I like to break it up with accessories!

Love your style! Please tell me the brand/model of your slip-on sneaks. Thanks so much.
